Enrol 100 members, have lunch with VIPs: BJP’s offer in J&K
In its efforts to spread its influence in the Valley, BJP has lured its members with a VIP dinner if they register new entrants to the party. The party has offered its members a dinner with MoS in PMO Jitendra Singh and J&K’s Deputy CM Nirmal Singh on the condition that they register 100 new entrants and 10 active members in the next three weeks.
The ‘special offer’ has been posted on the social networking pages of the party’s state unit. “Any BJP activist who registers 100 new members & 10 active members from March 21 to April 15 will have the privilege to have dinner with Hon’ble Union minister Jitendra Singh & Hon’ble Dy CM Nirmal Singh,” reads the poster.
The party says it has taken the decision to “encourage” workers. “It is a wish of a party worker that he should sit with the senior leaders of the party and spend some time with them,” BJP’s state media incharge Altaf Thakur said.
