MP govt announces SIT to probe constable’s killing in Morena

Madhya Pradesh government on Monday ordered constitution of an SIT to probe the killing of police constable Dharmendra Chouhan who was crushed to death by a dumper carrying illegally mined.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the Special Investigation Team will be set up by evening with a mandate to submit the probe report within 15 days. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the government will act on the basis of the report.
“The owner of the dumper involved in the incident has been identified,” Chouhan said without disclosing more details. Besides monetary compensation, the government has offered the constable’s wife employment on compassionate ground.
