Rishi Kapoor slams singer Abhijeet over ‘insensitive’ tweets on Salman Khan verdict
Rishi Kapoor took exception to singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s bizarre Twitter posts where he blamed the accident victim for ‘sleeping on the road and getting killed.’
Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was among the first few to tweet in support of Salman Khan after the verdict in 2002 hit-and-run case was announced. The actor had written: “The Kapoors are with the Khans in their difficult time. Time is the biggest healer. God Bless!”
However, he took exception to singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya‘s rather bizarre Twitter posts where he blamed the accident victim for ‘sleeping on the road and getting killed.’

In a series of tweets, Rishi Kapoor said ‘wannabe Chamchas of Salman siding him with ridiculous support.’ Salman was found guilty of all the eight charges including culpable homicide in the 2002 hit-and-run case and has been sentenced to five years in jail.
Here are Rishi Kapoor’s tweets:
Ashamed of Abhijit the singer and some Ejaz Khan. Bunch of idiots and non starters. How does Times Now get these losers on Prime Time

Ajaz Khan, who was seen in ‘Bigg Boss 7′, had tweeted: “To hell with INDIAN law our Government is responsible for this. Garibo ko ghar do they sleep so close to the road.” But he later deleted the tweet.
Following Rishi Kapoor’s tweets condemning Ajaz Khan, he wrote:
I feel sad for my elder brother. Its better to stop judging statements and rather start understanding the emotions behind them @chintskap
— Ajaz Khan (@AjazkhanActor) May 7, 2015
But Rishi Kapoor later clarified his ‘chamcha’ comment saying that his use of this word was only for people like Abhijeet and that his family was always with the Khans.
My saying Chamchas was for Abhijeets inhuman comment and Ejaaz saying about the law.People misunderstood me.I said am with Salman earlier
