Amid charges against Kumar Vishwas, Kejriwal asks AAP leaders not to make ‘controversial’ statements

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked senior party leaders to avoid making “controversial” public statements, sources said.

The gag came a day after AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan alleged senior party leader Kumar Vishwas of hatching a conspiracy to topple Kejriwal as the party Chief. Kejriwal, however, rubbished the allegations saying “Kumar is my younger brother.” He also warned party leaders against trying to create divide between him and Vishwas.

Sources in the party said, “Senior leaders have been asked be careful and avoid giving controversial statements to media.”

Khan, a member of party’s core Political Affairs Committee (PAC) had on Sunday circulated a message saying, “Kumar Vishvas is trying to usurp AAP and break AAP. He is calling MLAs to his residence and saying that he should be made the party convener. Or else, they (MLAs) can join the BJP, which is ready to pay Rs 30 crore to each MLA.
