Samsung’s Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a refurbished Galaxy Note 7 with Bixby
Samsung’s refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will go on sale on July 7th as the new Galaxy Note Fan Edition. Samsung is reusing some Galaxy Note 7 parts to create this new device, after the company was hit with around 3 million recalls of the Galaxy Note 7 in October following some devices overheating and catching fire.
While the Fan Edition hardware is mostly the same as the original Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is using a smaller 3,200 mAh battery that the company claims has been “enhanced with multiple safety designs.” Samsung is also updating the software on the Galaxy Note Fan Edition so it runs Bixby, the company’s new digital assistant.
