Jewar victims’ kin hopes for early justice
The family of the victims in the alleged gang rape case in Jewar now finally see a ray of hope as four people have been arrested following an encounter on Sunday morning.
Talking to DNA, a family member said, “In the morning we got the news regarding the arrest of four people in the case. Following the arrest, we are hoping that justice is served to us soon. It has been a really long wait now.”
Narrating the ordeal of the past two months, the relative added that the ladies have locked themselves inside the house and are in a traumatic state.
They have stopped talking to their family members also.
“Last 2 months have been really hard for the family. We didn’t even celebrate Eid following this tragedy. It was a nightmare for all of us in the family to remember that unfortunate day when four women in the family were gang raped and a male member was shot dead in front of us. No one can understand the trauma we are going through,” he added.
