It was totally a flop show: Mamata Banerjee’s response after RBI’s demonetization data
West Bengal CM and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee has lashed out at RBI and the central government after the central bank said that nearly 99% of the old notes are back in their Annual Report.
Mamata Banejee, who was one of the most vocal critics of cash ban left no chance to latch onto the RBI data. She claimed that the entire process was a flop show and it has achieved a ‘big big zero’.Didi also claimed that hundreds of people have lost their life and crores of commoners affected by government’s notebandi exercise.
On November 8 last year, PM Narendra Modi had announced demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to crack down on black money, terror funding and increasing tax base among other initiatives.
