When new Chennai Super Kings signing Harbhajan Singh made fun of Tamil script and called it ‘jalbi’

What you write on Twitter, can always come back to haunt you. Ask Donald Trump. The latest victim appears to be Harbhajan Singh. Singh, who has played his entire career for Mumbai Indians was instead picked up by CSK following which he tweeted to the CSK fans.

Interestingly, Bhajji’s welcome tweet to CSK fans reminded others of an old tweet when he made fun of the Tamil script. He had written in 2016: “Bhaiyo yeh jalbi walle kya likhte hai ??”.

Now he might have to make amends after signing up to play for Chennai Super Kings alongside MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. We wonder how embracing CSK fans will be knowing that Bhajji had once mocked their script.

In place of Ashwin, who went to KXIP, CSK got Harbhajan who has played all the past seasons for Mumbai Indians. Bhajji at the fag end of his career, with not much to show in recent times was sold in his base price of Rs 2 crore. Fleming said Bhajji will be handful in big Chepauk ground.
