PM Narendra Modi puts up his upcoming travel details on social media

Prime Minister Narendra Modi known for his active presence on social media platform, tweeted about his upcoming travel plans.
This week I would be travelling to Seychelles, Mauritius & Sri Lanka. Am looking forward to enhancing our ties with these friendly Nations.

Determined on building strong relationships with neighbouring countries, Modi will be touring Seychelles, Mauritius and Sri Lanka from March 11-14. He will be meeting President Michel and will hold talks pertaining to economical, infrastructural and cultural progress.
On March 11 and 12 he will be visiting Mauritius and will be celebrating their National day with them. According to his tweets he will be addressing National Assembly of Mauritius. On his brief visit, he will also be attending the programme to mark the Commissioning of Coast Ship Barracuda and would join the programme for a new building at the World Hindi Secretariat.
To be the first Indian President to visit Jaffna, Modi will be visiting Sri Lanka on March 13 and 14. His visit comes just after Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that Indian fishermen may be shot if they “intruded” into his country’s waters.

The then Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa was invited to Modi’s swearing ceremony, which was seen as a step towards strengthening relations between the two countries. This visit to Sri Lanka is aimed towards the same as he will be addressing the their Parliament and visiting the Mahabodhi Society. He will also be visiting the site of a Housing Project which is one among the many projects taken up by the Indian Government.
