Anjali Damania quits AAP, says ‘backed Kejriwal for principles not horse-trading’
Aam Aadmi Party’s Maharashtra convenor Anjali Damania on Wednesday announced on Twitter that she quit from the party. Damania tweeted, “I backed Arvind (Kejriwal) for principles not Horse-trading”, along with a YouTube link to a news channel’s report that Kejriwal wanted to take Congress support before dissolving the Delhi Assembly.
In a leaked audio conversation between former AAP MLA Rajesh Garg and Kejriwal, the party chief is heard saying that six Congress MLAs should quit from the party and give outside support to AAP.
Recently, Damania attacked AAP leader from Mumbai Mayank Gandhi for writing a blog on the Parliamentary Affairs Committee meeting in which Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan were ousted from the panel.
