President Pranab Mukherjee fails to reach Mandi

President of India Pranab Mukherjee, who was slated to visit Mandi for addressing second convocation of IIT Mandi in Himachal Pradesh could not reach there though he instead visited Kangra district–where President went to famous Baglamukhi temple and performed puja.

Senior government officials said President’s visit to Mandi was cancelled while he was mid air after reports about inclement weather and poor visibility at Mandi.

As par schedule President had to visit ancient Baglamukhi temple on his return from Mandi .

His programme was changed and Pranab Mukherjee reached at Sapri in Kangra from where he travelled by road to Baglamukhi .

President will return to Delhi later in the day.He will take off from Pathankot airport.
