Google Play adopts industry standard for age ratings on mobile games
The Entertainment Software Rating Board — the group responsible for the age ratings featured on video games in North America — has announced that it’s expanding its reach to mobile and digital games. The rating system will be adopted starting today by Google Play on mobile, and both Sony and Microsoft’s digital game stores will start using the ratings in the future as well. There’s currently no word on whether other big name players, most notably Apple and Nintendo, plan to adopt the ratings system.
