Video: College girl, friend beaten by gang of youth in UP

In a shocking incident, a college girl and her male friend were beaten by a gang of six young men in Western Uttar Pradesh for over ten minutes. The whole incident was filmed on a cellphone by one of the assaulters and circulated on WhatsApp.

The video of the assault that took place on March 8 has gone viral on internet. The video shows the girl being slapped while the boy is being beaten by a tree branch.

The incident took place in Hathras which is five and half hour drive from the state capital of Lucknow. According to reports, one of the accused was in love with the girl who belongs to his village.
