Happy that the influence of Islamic State on the Indian youth is negligible: Rajnath Singh
Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Critising Pakistan for supporting terrorist organisations, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that Indian Muslims are patriots and have not strayed into any extremist ideology. Speaking at the Counter Terrorism Conference 2015, Singh said, ” If Pakistan and ISI stop supporting terrorist groups, security situation in South Asia would improve significantly.”
Rajnath Singh’s statement came after news of an Indian recruit in the Islamic State’s (IS) ranks reportedly died fighting in Kobane, Syria. On Saturday night, IS supporters sent online messages announcing the death of an Indian with the nom de guerre Abu Abdullah Al Hindi. “I am happy to note that the influence of Islamic State on the Indian youth is negligible,” added Singh.
