Maharashtra budget 2015: A ‘directionless’ budget says Opposition
“Where is the government going to bring the funds if they talk of higher expenditure?”
Opposition leaders criticised the state budget as offering no clear roadmap. Former finance minister Jayant Patil said, “There is no definite direction nor seriousness in the budget. Where is the government going to bring the funds if they talk of higher expenditure?”
The leader of opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said, “It is an extremely poor budget. No concrete policy decisions nor directions.” Senior NCP leader and former finance minister Dilip Walse Patil wondered where is the government going to bring funds for its ambitious solar pumps schemes. “They just raised slogans.”
