After getting high security for shooting the most important sequences in ‘Mirziya’, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has now set another milestone for the movie.
Reports say, that while shooting the sequence of debutante Saiyami Kher’s Rajasthani wedding, Mehra needed the set to look perfect. He looked into each and every detail, from the costume of each and every person on the set to the floral decoration which had been used.
So much so that the director called for five trucks of yellow Marigold flowers all the way from Kolkata.

The sequence was shot in seven days, so the makers had called for the flowers on regular intervals. A spokesperson confirmed the news and said: “It is a very important sequence and was shot over many days. Keeping it traditional, simple and classy was the idea – which sounds easy, but is tough to achieve. The production team did a wonderful job of achieving that.”
A contemporary love story set in Rajasthan, ‘Mirziya’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year and the biggest launch vehicle for Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor and Anupam Kher’s niece Saiyami Kher.
