Andhra govt considering naming new capital city as Amaravathi
The Andhra Pradesh Government is considering naming the new capital city being built between Vijayawada and Guntur as Amaravathi.
An official announcement is likely shortly. The actual Amaravathi town is 35 kms away from the area where the capital city will come up for which close to 33000 acres have been procured through land-pooling scheme by the government.
