Not paid salary for 4 months, Sahara staff jumps to death
Pradeep Mandal, 50, who worked as a working manager with the Sahara Credit Cooperative Society, was allegedly depressed as he had not got salary for last four months, they said.
An employee of Sahara India Pariwar on Tuesday committed suicide by jumping from the ninth floor of the office building in Aliganj area of Lucknow, police said.
Pradeep Mandal, 50, who worked as a working manager with the Sahara Credit Cooperative Society, was allegedly depressed as he had not got salary for last four months, they said.
According to police, Mandal had gone to his office in the morning. An employee who did not want to be named, said Mandal had gone to deposit cheques at a Punjab National Bank branch nearby around noon. He jumped off the ninth floor of the building soon after returning from the bank.

His colleagues rushed him to the trauma centre of King George’s Medical University where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He was cremated in the evening.
Aliganj Circle Officer Garima Singh said the death appeared to be a case of suicide and the family has not complained to police about anything. “There were a few official problems. He had not got his salary since November,” she said.
Aliganj station officer Shyam Babu Shukla said the police have not found any suicide note.
Mandal lived in an apartment at Sahara Estate in Janakipuram area with his wife and an adolescent daughter.
