UP: Bodies of 2 girls found in similar bags at separate locations
Headless and dismembered bodies of two unidentified girls bundled in leather bags were recovered in Gorakhpur and Rae Bareli districts on Monday. While the bag with a 12-year-old girl’s body was found inside a coach of Kanpur-Gorakhpur Chauri-Chaura Express in Gorakhpur, another girl’s body was discovered at the garbage treatment plant in Rae Bareli.
The SPs of Gorakhpur Government Railway Police (GRP) and Rae Bareli district police are coordinating with each other, suspecting that both the girls appeared to have been murdered by the same assailants as the leather bags and white polythene bags used to tightly bundle the dismembered parts of both the bodies are identical.
Police did not rule out the possibility of both the victims being raped before the murder. Autopsy have been conducted and the reports are awaited.
