Vishwas to assess AAP chances in Maharashtra
Kumar Vishwas will “explore the possibility” of fighting local body elections in Maharashtra.
The Political Affairs Committee of the Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday announced that they had authorised senior leader Kumar Vishwas to “explore the possibility” of fighting local body elections in Maharashtra.
After a meeting at Kejriwal’s residence, party leader Sanjay Singh said discussions had revolved around the crucial National Council meeting on Saturday and added: “He (Vishwas) will look and assess whether we should fight local body elections including the Mumbai and Pune local body elections.” Many viewed this development as significant at a time when both factions of AAP are counting numbers if matters come to a vote.
