Days after it accused a Vyapam scam “whistleblower” of “political affiliation”, the Madhya Pradesh government has filed an application in the Delhi High Court to make the “whistleblower” share “any alleged information about the Vyapam scam with the Special Task Force and/ or with the SIT constituted by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh and none other”.
The plea repeats the state government’s earlier statement that the STF had not sought any assistance from the man claiming to be the whistleblower who had linked the admission and recruitment scam to “people related to the family of the MP Chief Minister”.
The whistleblower had approached the Delhi High Court for protection earlier this month, alleging that the MP police and intelligence department were “threatening” him.

The plea, to be heard by the bench of Justice Siddharth Mridul Thursday, says the whistleblower violated the directions issued by the MP High Court which had directed that any information relating to the scam had to be shared with the head of the STF and/or the Sit constituted by the High Court.
