Woman separatist leader booked for hoisting Pak flag
The police is yet uncertain of the location where the accused unfurled the Pakistani flag.
J&K Police registered a case on Wednesday against the Kashmiri separatist leader and head of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Aasiya Andrabi for unfurling the Pakistani flag in the old city on Monday, the eve of Pakistan Day.
Officials said a case had been registered against the leader in Nowhatta police station for unfurling the
Pakistani flag while observing the Pakistan Day celebrations.
“We have registered a case in police station Nowhatta. We are yet to identify the location where she unfurled the Pakistani flag,” said SP North City Shafqat Hussain. “The investigation is on and she has been booked for 13 unlawful activities,” the officer added.

Andrabi, however, told The Indian Express that unfurling the flag was a routine thing from the past 35 years.
“This is a political gimmick and frustration. This is a routine for us from the past 35 years and I have done nothing wrong by unfurling the flag and singing the Pakistan’s national anthem now,” she said. “Our leaders go to Delhi to celebrate it, but I always celebrate it on my own soil.”
