Two Lok Sabha MPs make it to IPU panels
Raj Kumar Singh, BJP MP from Ara (Bihar) and Nagendra Singh, BJP MP from Khajuraho (MP) were unanimously elected.
Two members of an Indian parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan have been elected to crucial committees of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting being held in Hanoi, Vietnam. On the first day, the delegation attended a meeting of the Asia Pacific Geo Political Group of IPU of which India is a member.

Raj Kumar Singh, BJP MP from Ara (Bihar) and Nagendra Singh, BJP MP from Khajuraho (MP) were unanimously elected on two important committees-the Bureau of the First Standing Committee of IPU on Peace and International Security and Bureau of the Second Standing Committee of IPU on Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade.
The two members will serve on the two important committees for four years upto 2018 and will be contributing in shaping the agenda and functioning of the committees.
