Setback for N Srinivasan, SC allows BCCI Acting Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary to represent board at ICC meet
The Supreme Court on Monday allowed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Acting Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary to represent the board at the International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting on April 24. The Apex court also allowed BCCI CEO Rahul Johri to accompany Chaudhary for the ICC meet.
This means that former BCCI chief N Srinivasan’s desperate attempt to represent the board at the meeting didn’t yield any result. The Supreme Court was emphatic in its ruling that Srinivasan would not be allowed to represent the board.
The India Cements chairman was said to be the unanimous choice of a majority of the BCCI’s ‘eligible’ office-bearers and those of state associations.
