CoA assures an anxious Virat Kohli that Team India will get to defend their Champions Trophy title
Virat Kohli seems to be in a hurry to put behind his team Royal Challengers Bangalore’s dismal performance in this year’s Indian Premier League.
The star batsman, who loves to win every time he steps on the field, must be gutted to see his team crash out of contention for the play-offs first.
However, as one would expect a champion player to do, Kohli already has his eyes set on his next assignment – the Champions Trophy (CT). But as it turns out, the Team India captain hasn’t got any respite yet. With the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) contemplating not sending the Indian team for the tournament because of it’s on-going battle with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Kohli has been left rather anxious over the past few days.
Although nothing has been officially declared yet, Kohli was given assurance by the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) that Team India will indeed take part in the CT in England starting June 1.
