REVEALED: Real reason why Sridevi didn’t do Ramya Krishnan’s role in Baahubali 2

Sridevi might be coming back one more time this year with a thriller called Mom. The film is due for release in July this year. But if everything went well, Sridevi was going to play Sivagami’s role in Baahubali 2.

Sources say that Rajamouli had first approached Sridevi for the role of the powerful and feisty queen but she turned down the offer. Although Sridevi was a great choice, after watching the film, everybody will agree that Ramya Krishnan who played Sivagami did a fantastic job. Hers was a bravura performance without a doubt!

But do you know the real reason why Sridevi opted out? Well, allegedly Sridevi quoted a rather exorbitant price for the film which Rajamouli couldn’t afford and hence had to leave her out of the cast. Ramya has been paid Rs 2.5 crore for her role and Sridevi asked for more than double the amount.

But in any case, it was Sridevi’s loss, given that the film did such stupendous business at the box office. Baahubali 2 has become the first Indian film to cross 1000 crore at the box office.
