UP Min fails to soothe Noida homebuyers
UP industry minister Satish Mahana was sent by UP government to settle builders-buyers’ issues on Thursday, but he failed to satisfy homebuyers. Mahana had visited Noida to hold a meeting with home buyers, developers, and officials to end ongoing flat delivery issues.
Hundred of home buyers on Thursday got agitated after they were not allowed to attend Mahana’s meeting. They raised slogans and threatened to sit on dharna. Police officers had to be sent to pacify the protesters.
“I have asked the officials to settle the issue phase-wise. There must not be any harassment in the name of issuing completion certificate. If we find any official guilty in harassing people, we will initiate action,” Mahana said.
Mahana reached the Noida Authority office in Sector 6 in Noida at 11am and stayed in the authority for seven hours. However, sources said that even after such marathon meetings no consensus could be reached.
Meanwhile, enraged home buyers alleged that “dummy” home buyers were being allowed in the meeting. “The entire meeting was staged.
