Allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of carrying out hawala transactions to launder black money during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetization drive have dismayed residents of the national Capital. Those who supported the Arvind Kejriwal-led India Against Corruption (IAC) now feel betrayed and disillusioned. With such serious allegations against the party leaders, particularly Team Kejriwal, some have even started detesting them.
Mudslinging against sacked water minister Kapil Mishra has led to more disappointment. The common man has started questioning local leaders. Till yesterday, Mishra was a part of the Kejriwal Cabinet. But now, as soon as he started unveiling the AAP leaders and their web of misdeeds and corruption, he has been tagged a BJP agent. Isn’t this hypocrisy on part of AAP, many are asking.
