Beware of backstabbers, GJM chief tells cadre
Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) chief Bimal Gurung on Sunday alleged that certain senior GJM leaders were conspiring against him and had secretly shaken hands with the state government.
Gurung, who had gone underground for some days after he had been booked under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) following two blast at the hills last week, through an audio tape released on Sunday said some GJM leaders were giving out his hideout to the state government for their vested interest. “People who had been agitating at the hills demanding a separate Gorkhaland since June 17 should be aware of such persons,” he said.
He also said that some leaders of his party had written to the state expressing their willingness to partake in the all-party meeting convened by the state on August 29, without his consent.
Gurung in his last letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had mentioned that only creation of Gorkhaland would end the logjam at the hills.
