BJP and Congress fight it out with viral poll slogans

Ahead of the Assembly polls, Congress has come up with a new slogan, ‘Congress Aave Che’ which means “Congress is coming”. To counter this, BJP’s ‘Gujarat ma to Bhajap j Chale’ — only BJP can work in Gujarat — has become popular on social media.

The Congress’s campaign saw a great following in the recent past and BJP’s latest campaign is to counter that. However, Gujarat BJP says that this is not their official campaign as the party will launch its official campaign in mid-September or October.

Gujarat BJP’s spokesperson Bharat Pandya said, “This campaign has been prepared by a group of businessmen in Gujarat who support BJP.”

It is a campaign based on GIF images going viral on several social media platforms since Sunday morning. The campaign covers issues such as Narmada Dam construction and water supply.
