Lost kidneys to hormone pills, says woman

A woman filed a complaint with the Bapunagar police station and Mahila Police station on Friday, claiming that both her kidneys had failed after she took the hormone tablets doctors prescribed for her.

Seema Parmar, a resident of Bapunagar, works as a home guard with the police department. She alleged that six months back, she came in contact with some women who told her that she could donate her eggs in lieu of Rs15,000. They told her that she would have to come to Ojas hospital in Rakhiyal area, from where she can understand the entire process.

A couple of days later, the four women took her to Ojas hospital, where they made her contact Dr Piyush Patel and Dr Nishar. After she agreed to donate her eggs. The doctors got her through a medical test and after everything was clear, they took her to Bhopal where the process took place. During the process, her health got bad and she was taken to Ahmedabad, where the doctors gave her medicine. After 3 months, the doctors took her to Kanpur where her eggs were donated again and she fell sick.
