Justin Bieber joins ‘100 million follower’ club on Twitter
Justin Bieber has just broken a new record! And it’s not related to music.
Bieber has become the first male singer to have garnered 100 million followers on Twitter.
The ‘Sorry’ singer is also officially the second person to cross the major milestone after singer Katy Perry who boasts around 103 million followers.
Crowing its new king, Twitter posted a congratulatory video featuring some of the 23-year-old most popular ‘hashtags’ and captioned: ‘In each other’s company since Tweet number one. Congratulations @justinbieber on #100MBeliebers’

A new emoji and hashtag have been generated to honour the singer’s big moment.
Adding cherry to the cake, Twitter also shared several fun facts about the star presence on its social media platform, since the Grammy-winning singer joined the social media site in March 2009.
They also revealed that the word ‘Belieber’ has been retweeted for a staggering 84 million times.
