Angadia men robbed of Rs 12L jewellery
Four miscreants fired at two Angadia workers and looted jewellery worth Rs12 lakh from them in Panchkuwa of Ahmedabad on Wednesday morning.
Ahmedabad Crime Branch is investigating the matter and one of the accused has been arrested. As per the complaint lodged by the victim Dashrath Patel, working at Patel Jayantibhai Somabhai firm, at Kalupur police station, the incident occurred around 7:30 am. Patel said he and his colleague were on their way to Gita Mandir Bus Terminus on a scooter with a bag containing jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh, when four persons riding on two motorcycles intercepted them in Panchkuwa. One of the attackers also fired upon them and all the four fled with the jewels.
However, the entire episode was recorded on a CCTV, on the basis of which police conducted a search operation. MD Upadhyay, PI of Kalupur police station, said, “We have arrested Deepak Jat. The other three managed to flee.”
