Suresh Raina reveals which Indian coach deserves credit for Kuldeep Yadav’s success
When former India coach Anil Kumble was unceremoniously ousted from his job a few months ago, reports emerged that he had had a fall-out with Virat Kohli during a Test match against Australia in Dharamshala earlier in the year.
The bone of contention was the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI. While the coach was in favour of playing the young spinner, the captain thought otherwise. While Kohli had his way in the third Test, he was forced to sit out the next match due to injury and that paved the way for Kuldeep to make his debut. The chinaman bowler went on to give an impressive performance, picking up several key wickets.
Its been a while since then and Kuldeep has done well to stake his claim in the Indian team. Praising Kuldeep for his recent exploits in international cricket, India discard Suresh Raina on Thursday said credit should be given to former head coach Kumble for shaping the young spinner.
