Centre, state working in tandem for Bihar development: Nitish Kumar
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday asked the media to show some positive news, instead of highlighting only the negatives prevalent in society. The CM was speaking at the inaugural of “Bihar Conclave – the new road map”, organised by leading regional news channel “Zee Bihar-Jharkhand” at a premier city hotel here on Tuesday.
While inaugurating the event, Nitish lauded the efforts of Zee Bihar-Jharkhand, a sister concern of DNA, for raising issues relevant to the society and the development of the region. Throwing light on some of the developmental works undertaken since he assumed office in 2005, Nitish said, “Bihar’s good governance and developmental works are now a matter of discussion globally. People are talking about how Bihar is achieving greater heights by the day.”
Nitish said until the base is strong, it is not possible to reach the top. The CM also listed various schemes for strengthening transportation and communication networks, improvement in power situation, infrastructure, health and education sectors and women empowerment as steps taken by his government for the development of Bihar.
