Journalists & RSS activists not safe in UP
The local RSS unit of Ghazipur has no faith in the UP BJP government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After the RSS SahKaryavah of Karanda block in Ghazipur was gunned down on Saturday morning, the Sangh volunteers went on a rampage in the local market in Brahmanpura area to protest the killing.
RSS media incharge of Saidpur in Ghazipur, Manoj Kumar Yadav said journalists and RSS workers were unsafe in the Yogi regime. “Since the Yogi government came to power in UP, journalists and RSS activists are not safe. We were not safe before and we are not safe now. As you can see there have been so many killings, here in UP as well as across the country,” Yadav said.
Furious that no BJP leader reached the crime scene or contacted Rajesh Mishra’s family even several hours later, Yadav said the BJP was in a habit of forgetting its workers once it came into power. “Even after so many hours, we have not heard from any BJP leader — local or otherwise,” he said. “The uselessness of these people [BJP leaders] is proverbial.”
