Mulayam’s refusal to give voice sample may land him in trouble
Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav may land into trouble following his refusal to give his voice sample despite court orders in connection with a July 2015 case of threatening a senior 1992 batch IPS officer Amitabh Thakur over phone.
The investigating officer Avinash Mishra has filed an affidavit in the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court in Lucknow stating that he had gone to Mulayam’s Vikramaditya Marg residence several times with the court notice but he was never allowed to meet him. Finally, he had got the court notice received at his residence.
However, Mulayam neither replied to the court notice nor contacted the investigative officer for giving a sample voice test. Mishra stated that it seems that Mulayam Singh Yadav does not want to give the voice test which could be viewed as him admitting to the crime of threatening the senior IPS officer Amitabh Thakur.
The investigative officer’s affidavit may come up for hearing at the CJM Court on October 27.
