London’s Oxford Circus underground station closed as police investigate ‘incident’
British Transport Police are responding to reports of an ‘incident’ at London’s Oxford Circus Tube station, media reports said.
Quoting a witness, Reuters said the underground station was being evacuated and armed police personnel were on the scene.
BBC quoted British Transport Police as saying that officers were at the scene and warned people to avoid the area, in London’s West End.
“Oxford Circus Station is closed while we investigate a customer incident,” Transport for London said.
