Bad news: iTunes will not be available in the Microsoft Store this year, as promised
In May this year, Microsoft stated that it is working with Apple, to bring iTunes to the Windows Store by the end of 2017. However, it doesn’t seem like this is happening after all.
In conversation with ZDNet, an Apple spokesperson stated, “We have been working with Microsoft to deliver the full iTunes experience to our customers and we need a little more time to get it right.” At the moment, the company did not disclose what was causing the delay.
In an effort to lure in more users, it is important for Microsoft to get in more apps to its store. The report added that while the addition of iTunes to the Microsoft Store might appear to affect few people in light of iTunes’ long-term availability as a Windows app that runs on many Windows 10 machines, the Windows 10 version won’t run on Windows 10 S devices.
