Amazon Prime Video is reportedly the most downloaded Apple TV app ever
In less than two weeks, Amazon Prime Video has become the most downloaded Apple TV app ever, according to TechCrunch. That’s a pretty impressive accomplishment, given Netflix and Hulu have both been in the App Store for years at this point, while Amazon Prime Video was only released earlier this month.
Despite the delay — Apple announced Prime Video would be coming to the Apple TV back in June — it’s clear the demand for Amazon’s video content didn’t wane in the least. The timing of the app’s release likely helped as well: it came just two days before the second season of The Grand Tour, one of Amazon’s most popular shows.
