Amazon cancels I Love Dick in original content overhaul
Jill Soloway’s I Love Dick has been canceled after one season, Variety reports. The show, an adaptation of Chris Kraus’ modern classic feminist novel and a long overdue star vehicle for Kathryn Hahn, was lauded for its boundary-pushing depiction of “the female loser” and female artistic obsession.
Amazon also announced the cancelation of Tig Notaro’s One Mississippi, a semi-autobiographical dark comedy that ran for two seasons, starting with a pilot episode directed by Martin Scorsese protege Nicole Holofcener.
