Congress Seva Dal member shot dead in road rage incident
A 43-year-old Congress Seva Dal worker was shot dead by unidentified men following an argument allegedly over road rage at GT Karnal Road on Tuesday morning. The accused persons, who were rash driving adjacent to the victim’s car, stopped and shot him in the chest which led to his death. The deceased was a builder in the area.
According to the police, Vinod Mehra (43) stayed with his family in Geeta Colony area. Mehra’s wife works as an Inspector with the Delhi Police. The victim along with his 15-year-old nephew had gone to attend a wedding of his friend’s son in one of the venues on the GT Karnal Road. They were on their way back in his Wagon-R car during the wee hours when another vehicle was driving rashly just next to them. The occupants of both the cars engaged in a verbal spat which ended on the Bhalsawa flyover when both of them stopped and got out of their cars.
