PM Modi embarks on 4-day visit to Jordan, Palestine, UAE and Oman
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday embarked on a 4-day visit to Palestine, UAE and Oman where he will discuss cooperation in trade, investment and energy security.
The Prime Minister will also have a brief stopover in Jordan where will meet King Abdullah-II before leaving for Ramallah in Palestine.
“Redefining our neighbourhood from a maritime perspective! PM @narendramodi embarks on a 4-day visit to Jordan, Palestine, UAE & Oman from 9-12 February to deepen our multifaceted ties with the Gulf and West Asian region,” Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
After a brief stay in the Jordanian capital Amman, he will depart for Ramallah in the West Bank.
This will be the first visit to Palestine by an Indian Prime Minister.
On February 10, he will reach Palestine, where he will hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He will also visit the Yasser Arafat Museum and lay a wreath there.
Five-six MoUs are expected to be signed during the Prime Minister’s visit to Ramallah.
