Citing financial reasons, Pune man murders family before hanging himself
A 38-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and two daughters before committing suicide in Pune’s Warje area. Police say that they have recovered a suicide note where the man said financial issues pushed him to take the extreme test.
The deceased have been identified as Nilesh Chaudhary (38), his wife Nilam (33), and their daughters Shravani (9) and youngest daughter Shreya (7). The incident came to light late night on Friday when neighbours found Chaudhary hanging from a ceiling, while the bodies of his wife and daughters were found on the bed.
According to Uttamnagar police, Chaudhary had left the main door open before taking the drastic step. “On Friday late night, one of the neighbours found the main door open and when he looked inside, he found bodies and immediately alerted police,” a police officer of Uttamnagar police told DNA.
In the suicide note, Chaudhary said, who had a plastic remoulding business, said that he was in financial debt and was unable to pay it off. “He also said that he was taking his family with him,” the police officer told DNA.
