INX Media case: SC refuses to give interim relief to Karti Chidambaram from ED arrest
Surpreme Court on Tuesday refused to give interim relief to Karti Chidambaram from possible arrest by Enforcement Directorate in the INX Media case.
Challenging summons, Karti filed a fresh petition in the court, submitting that the ED has no jurisdiction to summon him based on an FIR filed by the CBI on charges of corruption. During hearing, SC issued notice to ED regarding the PMLA case and posted the matter for March 9.
Kapil Sibal appeared for Karti Chidambaram in the apex court. He said:

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sought an extension of the custody of Karti Chidambaram, son of Congress leader and former Union finance minister P Chidambaram, on Tuesday for further questioning in connection with their probe into the INX Media money laundering case
Karti was remanded in five-day CBI custody in the case on March 1 which ends on Tuesday.
