Iron Man’s suit gets an upgrade for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. What does it mean for Tony Stark?

In recently released images from Avengers: Infinity War, one stands out more than others. It is Tony Stark aka Iron Man’s hot rod, red and golden suit seems to have gotten an upgrade.

In Iron Man 3 we and Tony Stark himself realised that he is a tinkerer. An additional message was that he does not need that suit to live his life or stay alive. But 42 different versions of that suit showed that Tony Stark never stopped perfecting.

This time, there will be more nuanced changes like the one we saw in the Super Bowl teaser.

We can see here that Iron Man’s suit now takes shape on its own. Just like Black Panther’s after Shuri made the changes. Feel free to speculate that by this time in the movie, Stark has met Shuri and taken aback by her brilliance. The reactor on the armour is not there to keep Tony alive. It is there to power the suit and does more, including work for the Hulk Buster.
