Police on Saturday filed the chargesheet against controversial businessman Muhammed Nisham who had fatally ploughed his Hummer SUV into a security guard in Sobha City in Thrissur.
The chargesheet was submitted in a first class magistrate court in Kunnamkulam. The government has assigned a special pleader to appear for the prosecution.
Security guard K Chandrbose, who was attacked on January 29, died two weeks later. As the murder created an outrage, relevant sections under Kerala Anti Social Activities Prevention Act was slapped against Nisham.

Accordingly, he would not get bail for next six months. Nisham had faced 11 criminal cases in the past, but managed to wriggle out most of them due to his influence in police and political parties.
Last week, a Vigilance court in Thrissur ordered for a preliminary probe against Kerala DGP K S Balasubramaniam regarding the allegation that he had tried to protect Nisham.
Earlier, former Thrissur police commissioner Jacob Job was suspended on charges of holding a secret meeting with the alleged accused.
Later, government chief whip P C George exposed an audio in which former DGP M N Krishnamurthi was heard saying that Balasubramaniam had interest in the case.
