Chhatisgarh CM Raman Singh expands cabinet
Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday expanded his cabinet, inducting three new ministers.
While Mahesh Gagda was given the charge of law and forest, Dayal Das Baghel was given tourism and culture and Bhaiyalal Rajwade labour and sports ministry.
In another move, health ministry was taken away from Amar Agrawal, who came under attack during the Bilaspur sterilization deaths. He has been given revenue and urban development.
This is Singh’s first cabinet expansion after he won the election in December 2013. Recently, Singh met party chief Amit Shah in Delhi during which the latter approved the cabinet expansion.
