Dainik Bhaskar group chairman Ramesh Chandra Agarwal passes away
Dainik Bhaskar group chairman Ramesh Chandra Agarwal passed away on Wednesday. He was 73 years old and suffered a heart attack at the Ahmedabad Airport at 11 am on Wednesday. He was rushed to the hospital immediately but could not be resuscitated. He had gone to Delhi from Bhopal on Tuesday and had reached Ahmedabad on Wednesday morning. He suffered heart attack while stepping down from the airplane. His last rites will be performed at 10 am at Bhadbhada Ghat in Bhopal on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab as well as several prominent personalities of political and business world expressed their condolences on his sudden demise. Offering his condolences, Essel Group chairman Dr Subhash Chandra tweeted: “The demise of Shri Ramesh Chandra Agarwal is a personal loss for me. In this hour of grief, we stand united with his family.”
