HBO taps four writers to develop and pitch Game of Thrones spinoffs
HBO has put an end to months of speculation about a possible Game of Thrones spinoff, announcing that four different writers have signed development deals with the network.
Variety reports that there’s no set timeline for any of these making it to the screen, quoting an HBO spokesperson who says, “We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in.”
Scripts will be presented by Max Borenstein (Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island), Brian Helgeland (42, Legend), Carly Wray (Mad Men, The Leftovers), and Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children).
